Essential Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. with 60% or above marks or equivalent CGPA in:
  • Electronics & Communication
  • Computer Science & Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Information Systems
    OR
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics with 60% or above marks.

Desirable Qualifications

• M.E./M.Tech./Ph.D. (Engineering) in:
  • Electronics / Communication
  • Computer Science & Engineering
  • Embedded Systems / VLSI Design
  • Information Security / Signal Processing
    OR
• Ph.D. in:
  • Mathematics / Statistics
  • Electronics / Communication
  • Computer Science
  • Information Security
  • Quantum Computing & Communication

Required Work Experience

• 12 years of Research & Development experience
• Solid foundations in cryptography and cyber security

Age Limit

• 45 years (as on closing date of online application: 06.04.2026)

For Deputation Mode

Qualifications

• Same as Direct Recruitment

Work Experience

• 12 years R&D experience in cryptography and cyber security
• Minimum 4 years in next below level of Scientist-D (7th CPC Pay Level-12)

Age Limit

• Maximum 56 years (as on 06.04.2026)

Equivalent Work Experience (for higher qualifications)

Appointment Details

• Initial appointment: 5 years (contract basis)
• Probation: 1 year
• Extension: Up to 5 years at a time or till superannuation (subject to review)
