Employment Notice No. 03/2025 (Cultural Quota/RRC/NWR) Date: 12.09.2025
Online Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for filling up 02 posts of level-2
against Cultural Quota for the year 2025-26 over North Western Railway. The candidates
having Educational & Professional (Cultural) qualification (mentioned in para-1below)
are eligible to apply. Candidates may apply by clicking on the link provided on Railway

Qualifications:
1. Educational qualifications : Passed 12th (+2stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate (50% marks in the aggregate will be required for NTPC categories. 50% marks are not required for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen candidates and candidates who possessing higher qualification like Graduation/Post Graduation.) Or Passed Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT from recognized institutions for the posts in Technical Categories (No other qualification including Diploma in Engineering is considered as alternative higher qualification on the ground of being a higher qualification in the same line of training). 2. Professional (Cultural) Qualification: Degree/Diploma/Certificate in respective discipline only from Government recognized Institute 3. Desirable: (a) Experience in the field and performance given on AIR/ Doordarshan etc. (b) Prizes won at National Level. |

Note:
- The date of birth of candidates should be between the dates given above (both dates inclusive )
- The candidate should also note that, Once a Date of birth claimed by him and entered in the records of the adminstration for the purpose of admission on any grounds whatsoever.
- 10th / Matriculation certificate / equivalent educational certificate / SSC indicating Date of birth is mandatory for D.O.B ( Date of Birth ) otherwise application will be rejected.
Extent of Age Relaxation
1. The upper age limit for Ex-Servicemen is relaxable upto the extent of service rendered
in defence plus 03 years, provided they have put in more than 6 months service after
attestation.
2.By 10 years for UR persons with disabilities (PWD), 13 years for OBC Persons with
Disabilities and 15 years for SC/ST Persons with Disabilities (PWD).
3.Upper age limit in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially
separated from husband but not remarried shall be 35 years for Unreserved, 38 years
for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
4.For serving Group-C and erstwhile Group-D Railway Staff, Casual labour and
substitutes in Railways who have put in minimum of 03 years service (continuous
or in broken spells) , the upper age limit will be up to 40 years for Unreserved
candidates, 45 years for SC/ST candidates and 43 years for OBC candidates.
5.For those working in Quasi-Administrative Offices of the railway organization such
as Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies and Institutions, the relaxation in upper
age limit will be up to the length of service rendered subject to maximum of 5 years
6.Age relaxation to the candidates who have Course Completed Act Apprentices.

Examination Fee

Procedure for Recruitment for cultural quota
The candidates, who apply in response to the notification and are, found eligible for
consideration for appointment against Cultural quota will be assessed on the basis of
following criteria.
Written Test | 50 Marks |
The Written Test will consist of 50 objective questions (50 Marks).The standard of questions will be generally in conformity with the educational standards prescribed for the posts. The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to General Awareness, Mathematics General Intelligence, Reasoning and General Knowledge on Cultural Activities/Cultural Area. There will be negative marking in the written test and 1/3rd of marks allotted for the objective type Question will be deducted for every wrong answer. Written test shall be of duration of 60 minutes. Question paper will be bi-lingual (Hindi & English). Candidates can attempt written examination in Hindi or English | |

Note : Minimum 40% marks will be required in written examination to become eligible for next
stage. Based on the merit of the candidates in the exam, candidates shall be called for next
stage i.e. Practical Demonstration & Assessment of Testimonials/ Prizes 5 times the
total of vacancy of the post notified(Discipline).
