Educational Qualification
- Candidate should possess PhD in Physics
- First class or equivalent at preceding degree in Physics
- Eminent Scientist or person with outstanding record and impressive R&D track record in Physics fields preferred
Experience
- Already in Analogous Pay Level 15
OR - 05 years’ experience in Pay Level 14 in Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC
- Experience in managing large scientific community in execution of projects or heading reputed scientific institution
- Excellent publication record
- Experience of leading a group
- National and international recognition
- Experience in project implementation with optimum utilization of resources
- Familiarity with administrative and financial matters, preferably in Government
- Experience in managerial capacity in Research Laboratory preferred
Age Limit
- Candidate should be between 50 and 57 years of age as on 15.05.2026
