IGNFA Physical Training & Sports Officer Vacancy 2026 has been notified through a Vacancy Circular issued by Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun, under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India. Vide No. 5479/2026-NFA/40.00 (PT & Sports Officer) dated 5 Feb., 2026, applications are invited for filling up one post of Physical Training & Sports Officer (Group “B,” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) on deputation basis, including short-term contract. The post carries the Level-07 pay scale under the 7th CPC. The deputation period shall ordinarily not exceed three years. Deputation Basis
(a) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR (b) With 05 years regular service in Level-06 (Pre-revised PB-2, 9300-34800 + Grade Pay 4200) rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; AND
Educational Qualification (Essential)
A. (i) A degree from a recognised university; (ii) a diploma in physical education from a recognised university/institution; (iii) two years’ experience in imparting physical education in a recognized Institution. OR B. (i) A degree in physical education from a recognised university/institution; (ii) Two years’ experience in imparting physical education in a recognized institution.
