The Department of Land Resources Deputy Commissioner Recruitment 2026 has been issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Rural Development, Department of Land Resources, Work Hall No. 32020, 2nd Floor, Kartavya Bhawan-3, New Delhi-110001 vide Vacancy Circular dated 16th February, 2026.

Department of Land Resources Deputy Commissioner Recruitment 2026 is a re-advertisement for the post of Deputy Commissioner (Watershed Development) in Level-12 of the Pay Matrix [Rs. 78,800–2,09,200] in the Department of Land Resources on deputation, including a short-term contract. Applications are invited from eligible officers under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Universities, Research Institutions, Public Sector Undertakings, and Autonomous or Statutory Organizations having the qualifications and experience as specified in Annexure-I.

The period of deputation, including short term contract shall ordinarily not exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation, including short-term contract shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application. Applications in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II) along with the requisite documents must be forwarded within 60 days of publication of the advertisement in Employment News.

Important Instructions

  1. The period of deputation, including a short-term contract shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
  2. The selected officer may opt to draw pay plus deputation allowance in accordance with DoPT O.M. No. 2/12/87-Estt (Part-III) dated 29.04.1988 as amended from time to time or have pay fixed in the scale of the post as per prevailing rules.
  3. Advance copy of applications and applications received after the last date and without CR Dossier, Vigilance Clearance and Integrity Certificate will not be considered.
  4. Officers who have applied for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their application subsequently.
