CIFT Young Professional Recruitment 2026
The CIFT Young Professional Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Applications are invited from eligible candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the temporary post of Young Professional-II on a contractual basis. The recruitment is being conducted for engagement under the MPEDA-NETFISH Project at the EIS Division of ICAR-CIFT, Kochi.
As per the official notification, only one vacancy has been notified for the post. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual in nature, and the selected candidate will work under the specified project. The duration of the contract is up to 19 March 2027 or until termination of the project, whichever is earlier. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹42,000.
The CIFT Young Professional Recruitment 2026 requires candidates to possess a postgraduate degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Statistics, Fisheries Economics, Fisheries Extension, Economics, or equivalent qualification. In addition to the essential qualification, candidates with experience in collection and analysis of fisheries or agricultural data, experience in working with fishing communities, and knowledge of statistical software will be given preference. Experience in qualitative research methods and report writing is also desirable.
The age limit for candidates is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 45 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules. Candidates must also have secured first class or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in their qualifying degree.
The walk-in interview will be conducted at ICAR-CIFT, Kochi. Candidates are required to attend the interview with a completed bio-data in the prescribed format along with a recent passport-size photograph and attested copies of certificates supporting their qualifications and experience. Original certificates must be produced for verification at the time of the interview. Registration for the interview will be conducted on the same day prior to the interview schedule.
