Essential Qualification
- Merchant Shipping (Marine Engineer Officer, Class II) Certificate or Inland Engineers (Motor) Certificate awarded by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India
OR - Senior Technical Sailor of the Indian Navy of the rank of Chief Artificer or Master Chief Artificer
OR - Degree in mechanical/marine engineering from a recognized university or equivalent
Note: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable
- 02 years of experience in the operation/maintenance of marine machinery onboard ships/dockyards.
