Department of Defence Production Dy Planning Officer Recruitment 2026 has been notified vide circular No. 18(1)/2026/DPO(ICE)/DP(A&C) dated 16 February 2026 for appointment to the post of Deputy Planning Officer (International Co-operation & Export-II), i.e., DPO (ICE-II), in the Directorate of Planning & Coordination, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, on deputation.
As per the notification, one post of Deputy Planning Officer (ICE-II) in Pay Level-12/12A as per the 7th CPC for Service Officers has fallen vacant in the ICE Division of Directorate of Planning & Coordination, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence. The post will be filled by transfer on deputation from officers of the Armed Forces holding the substantive rank of Lt Col/Cdr/Wg Cdr from Army/Navy/Air Force respectively, or All India Services or civilian officers holding the regular post of Deputy Secretary/Joint Director or their equivalent counterpart in IOFS/DRDO/DPSUs.
The job specifications include facilitation of high-level interaction between Defence Production units and foreign governments, administration and management of security-related international pacts and guidelines pertaining to defence matters, representation of Government’s official position from Department of Defence Production perspective regarding bilateral defence engagements, driving initiatives for international cooperation within the defence industry sector, identification of strategic thrust areas for exports and resolution of bottlenecks, and monitoring progress of defence export and promotional activities.
